Sawtooth Oak (Quercus acutissima) 40’-60’ Zones 5-9
This fast growing member of the red Oak family provides large crops of acorns annually when mature. Acorns fall from mid September thru mid or late October, coinciding with the opening of bow season. Plant in full sun in moist well drained soil. Sawtooth Oak can tolerate a variety of soil types and conditions. Expect acorns in 5-7 years.
